As Head of Learning Disability Programmes, Molly works in partnership with external organisations to support people with learning disabilities and mental ill health through improving and evolving their services, practices and organisational development. Prior to this role, Molly was Assistant Director at the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities for six years.

Molly promotes, obtains and manages consultancy projects with organisations that focus on moving their services and practices towards person centred ways of working; this includes the development and monitoring of partnership contracts, providing consultancy and training, and follow-up work to ensure that contract agreements have been met successfully. Additionally, Molly is responsible for responding to and acquiring tenders and grants around supporting organisations to develop good practice, ensuring that all contracted work has clearly defined aims and objectives. Molly focuses on developing long-term partnerships with organisations for continued work and support in research opportunities to promote best practice. She supports organisations all over the UK and spends plenty of time travelling.

Molly has supported people with learning disabilities for over 30 years in various roles. She has worked with young people and adults with learning disabilities, their families and their carers. She has supported people in transitioning from various services such as education, day services and long stay hospitals in to meaningful day opportunities such as work, community engagement, relationships, and developing their own home. Molly has worked in long stay hospitals, private agencies, family homes and within the voluntary sector in both the USA and the UK. She has extensive experience in the many aspects of developing community services, predominantly supporting agencies to convert from day centre and residential services to individualised community support services and employment. She has worked with state and governmental learning disability agencies in the development and implementation of quality services.

Molly has a MEd (University of Missouri-St. Louis) and most recently co-authored and published the "How Are We Doing on Planning?" evaluation tool for Person Centred Planning through the Valuing People Support Team. She was involved in the initial developments of the "Modernisation of Day Services Toolkit", also disseminated by the Valuing People Support Team, and was seconded to the Valuing People Support Team as a Family Leadership Coordinator for the South East. Molly is also currently a board member for HILT, an organisation that supports adults with a learning disability to live as part of the community and as independently as possible.

Outside of work, Molly enjoys facilitating Circles of Support, travelling and meeting new people.
