This is the ultimate motoring challenge on the planet. Adventure 10,000 miles to Ulan Ude in Russia, crossing the stunning landscapes of largely untrodden parts of the world.
There is no set route, no backup teams, it's just you and your second-hand car or motorbike traversing mountains, deserts and rivers along anything from a tarmac road to a boggy valley.
There are only three rules...
- Cars must have a 1 litre engine or less (1000cc) and motorbikes can be no more than 125cc.
- You and your team must be completely on your own with no external help.
- You must fundraise at least £1000 – half will need to go to COOL EARTH, the Mongol Rally's official charity, and the other half to the Mental Health Foundation.
The 2020 challenge begins on 18 July and you have until 14 September to make it to the finish line in Ulan Ude.
Please note that this challenge can be potentially very dangerous and should certainly not be taken lightly.
