Miranda Quinney

PhD research student


Miranda  is  a KESS1 sponsored PhD student researcher at the University of South Wales . She is part of the Faculty Of Life Sciences and Education in  Dr Anne Fothergill’s team. Her PhD study will involve interviewing some of the group members  and volunteer facilitators participating in the Mental Health Foundation’s project : Standing  Together Cymru. 

Prior to starting  her PhD,  Miranda founded Sharing Stories for Wellbeing, a therapeutic intervention designed to facilitate the sharing and saving of biographical stories  at end of life.

A performance storyteller and writer, Miranda is passionate about the power of story in  all its forms from informal anecdote though to  formal interview and theatrical interpretation.
